We are hiring a Director – Marketing and Business Development to lead end-to-end marketing strategy and drive revenue impact across our F&B offerings.
Role Summary
The Director – Marketing and Business Development will own the overall marketing function for the company’s F&B and hospitality brands in Bangalore. This role is responsible for building brand awareness, driving customer acquisition and repeat visits, improving conversion across digital touchpoints, and ensuring marketing activities directly support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Create and execute annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned to business goals (footfall, revenue, profitability, brand positioning).
- Develop brand strategy for the Chefworks.
- Set clear KPIs, budgets, timelines, and measurable outcomes for campaigns.
Brand & Positioning
- Strengthen brand identity, tone of voice, and customer value propositions across channels.
- Ensure consistency in brand communication across signage, menus, social media, email, WhatsApp, ads, and collaborations.
- Manage brand campaigns for seasonal promotions, launches, and high-demand periods.
Customer Acquisition & Revenue Growth
- Drive customer acquisition through digital marketing, local marketing, partnerships, and community activations.
- Improve restaurant performance through targeted offers, meal bundles, upsell/cross-sell campaigns, and lifecycle marketing (new customer → repeat customer).
- Identify growth opportunities using customer/market insights and competitor benchmarking.
Digital & Performance Marketing
- Lead strategy for social media, search, paid campaigns, and content-led marketing.
- Oversee performance marketing (Meta/Instagram, Google) including budgets, creatives, and optimization.
- Build dashboards for tracking: CAC (customer/client acquisition cost), ROAS (return on ad spend), engagement, CTR (clickthrough rate), conversions, lead-to-booking/lead-to-order metrics.
CRM, Loyalty & Retention
- Establish and manage CRM strategy (WhatsApp/email/loyalty journeys) to improve repeat orders and reduce churn.
- Create customer segmentation and personalized campaigns (birthdays, anniversaries, repeat visit triggers, win-back campaigns).
- Collaborate with sales/ops to ensure offers and experiences match customer expectations.
Content, Creative & Campaign Execution
- Plan content calendars, manage brand creatives, and ensure timely execution of campaigns.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies/designers for posters, short videos, menu creatives, and promos.
- Ensure campaigns are localized for Bangalore audiences and reflect F&B realities (tastes, seasons, festivals, weekends, events).
Partnerships, Events & Community Marketing
- Build partnerships with corporate accounts, delivery platforms, event organizers, and local communities.
- Lead influencer/food blogger collaborations, tasting events, and PR activations (where applicable).
- Represent the brand in key events and manage brand presence in high-impact venues.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead and manage the marketing team and partner vendors/agencies.
- Define roles, workflows, and performance standards.
- Ensure marketing spend discipline and ROI accountability.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA / PGDM in Marketing or relevant field (preferred).
- 10+ years of marketing experience in F&B, hospitality, restaurant chains, QSR, or consumer food brands.
- Strong experience in multi-brands marketing and driving measurable business outcomes (footfall, revenue, retention).
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing, performance tracking, and CRM for hospitality.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial orientation.
- Expertise in social media marketing, content planning, and paid campaigns.
- Ability to translate customer insights into campaign concepts and offers.
- Strong data interpretation and KPI management.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to influence internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Should be comfortable with fast turnaround campaign execution typical of the F&B industry.
