About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and transformation-driven leader for the role of Director – GBS Finance Transformation. This role will lead large-scale Global Business Services (GBS) and Global Capability Center (GCC) transformation engagements, helping organizations redesign operating models, optimize global service delivery, and drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in GBS strategy, finance transformation, operating model design, outsourcing, and large-scale transformation delivery within consulting or professional services environments.
Key Responsibilities
GBS & Finance Transformation Strategy
- Lead enterprise-wide GBS and Finance Transformation engagements across global organizations.
- Design and implement future-ready operating models aligned with business, technology, and transformation objectives.
- Develop investment-grade business cases covering cost optimization, productivity gains, scalability, governance, and long-term operational sustainability.
- Advise executive leadership on location strategy, workforce planning, sourcing models, and transformation roadmaps.
Operating Model & Service Delivery Design
- Define and implement target operating models, governance structures, service delivery frameworks, and service ownership models.
- Drive transformation of shared services from transactional operations to capability-led, value-generating GBS organizations.
- Integrate digital, analytics, automation, and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) into operating model frameworks.
- Lead multi-functional transformations across Finance, HR, Procurement, IT, Analytics, Legal, and Digital functions.
Transformation Delivery & Program Leadership
- Oversee large-scale GBS transitions, stabilization, performance improvement, and service maturity initiatives.
- Lead transform-and-operate and managed services engagements across multiple geographies and stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end transformation programs including governance, risk management, quality assurance, and stakeholder alignment.
- Coordinate with global delivery teams, vendors, and client leadership to ensure seamless execution and sustainable outcomes.
Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Drive AI-enabled, automation-led, and analytics-driven service delivery transformation initiatives.
- Leverage process mining, data analytics, cloud technologies, and intelligent automation to improve operational efficiency and governance.
- Collaborate with digital, cloud, engineering, and analytics teams to embed scalable technology solutions into transformation programs.
- Introduce innovation frameworks and best practices across global service delivery ecosystems.
Stakeholder Management & Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders, executive committees, and global stakeholders on transformation strategy and operating model decisions.
- Lead executive-level workshops, transformation governance reviews, and strategic advisory discussions.
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments across functions, geographies, and business units.
- Support change management and enterprise adoption initiatives across large-scale transformations.
Commercial & Practice Leadership
- Manage engagement economics including revenue, margins, forecasting, utilization, and delivery health across transformation portfolios.
- Lead RFP/RFI responses, solution development, deal structuring, and commercial discussions for strategic opportunities.
- Drive business development initiatives, go-to-market offerings, and practice capability expansion.
- Contribute to thought leadership, market intelligence, and development of transformation frameworks and intellectual property.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing consulting and transformation teams across multiple engagement portfolios.
- Drive capability development, delivery excellence, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the practice.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 12+ years of experience in consulting, GBS transformation, GCC strategy, or enterprise transformation leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end GBS/GCC transformation programs including strategy, operating model design, transition, and scale-up.
- Strong expertise in Finance Transformation, shared services, outsourcing, and service delivery optimization.
- Experience managing large-scale transformation programs across multiple functions and geographies.
- Strong understanding of governance models, workforce planning, location strategy, and investment modeling.
- Experience leading RFPs, solutioning, commercial structuring, and transformation advisory engagements.
- Strong stakeholder management experience with C-suite and senior global leadership teams.
- Experience managing large consulting or transformation teams within matrixed environments.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in AI, automation, analytics, and digital transformation within GBS environments.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, cloud platforms, and intelligent automation technologies.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen including forecasting and engagement economics.
- Exceptional communication, executive presentation, and influencing skills.
- Ability to drive strategic transformation in fast-paced global consulting environments.
