About Us
We are building a different kind of industrial company.
Our vision is to become a leading provider of engineered material-handling solutions by integrating engineering, fabrication, installation, and technical services within a single organization. We partner with leading system integrators and industrial customers to deliver conveyor systems, structural platforms, custom fabrication, and installation projects across North America.
As we expand, we are looking for a technical leader who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while remaining closely connected to project execution and customers.
Position Summary
The Director of Engineering & Technical Services is responsible for leading the company's technical function, supporting projects from customer inquiry through engineering, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
This role combines engineering leadership with hands-on technical execution. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, sales, fabrication, and field operations to develop practical, cost-effective solutions while establishing engineering processes that enable future growth.
This is an opportunity to build and shape the engineering organization from the ground up.

• Develop technical solutions and conceptual designs
• Prepare labor estimates, engineering scopes, and technical proposals
• Support customer meetings and technical presentations
• Identify value engineering opportunities that improve project competitiveness
2. Project Delivery
Provide technical leadership throughout project execution, ensuring successful coordination between engineering, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
Responsibilities include:
• Support projects from kickoff through final commissioning
• Provide engineering support to fabrication and field installation teams
• Resolve technical issues during project execution
• Review and manage engineering changes
• Ensure projects meet technical, quality, schedule, and budget objectives

• Lead engineering design reviews
• Standardize engineering processes and technical documentation
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering efficiency and project execution
QualificationsRequired
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

• Experience with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar
• Experience supporting manufacturing and fabrication
• Strong understanding of mechanical design and engineering documentation
• Experience preparing estimates or supporting technical proposals
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
Preferred
• Experience with conveyor systems or material handling equipment
• Experience supporting field installation or commissioning
• Knowledge of welding, structural steel, and fabrication processes
• Experience in applications engineering or systems integration
• Familiarity with ERP, PLM, and engineering document management systems
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 12 months, you will:
• Establish a structured engineering process from proposal through project completion
• Improve estimating accuracy and engineering documentation
• Build standardized engineering drawings, BOMs, and design practices
• Become the primary technical resource for customers and project teams
• Improve coordination between engineering, fabrication, and field operations
• Help expand the company's engineering capabilities to support future growth
Why Join Us?
This is not a traditional engineering management role.
You will have the opportunity to build an engineering function from the ground up, influence the strategic direction of the company, and help transform an installation-focused business into a full-service engineering, fabrication, and technical solutions provider.
- If you enjoy solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and building something lasting, we'd like to talk to you.
