Responsibilities
- Build scalable, serviceable, and fault-resilient cloud products and platforms.
- Build, test, and deploy advanced proofs-of-concept and prototypes.
- Convert business objectives into technical specifications and drive the development of the same.
- Design and deploy best-in-class processes, frameworks, and governance structures for SaaS engineering.
- Ensure systems support high-volume data processing and drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and observability.
- Drive execution across multiple product initiatives, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Implement strong engineering processes, including Agile development, CI/CD, and quality frameworks.
- Drive adoption of best practices in software architecture, DevOps, and platform engineering.
- Lead technical collaboration with other product engineering teams, product management, delivery, and clients.
- Drive execution across multiple product initiatives, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams, including engineering managers and senior engineers.
- Build and scale a high-performing engineering organization aligned with company goals.
- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- 18+ years of core software engineering with a minimum of 5+ years in engineering leadership roles in application architecture, software R& D, software products, full-stack development, and people management from a product organization or well-known retail B2B product startup.
- Proven track record in developing well-known, scalable, performant, and highly available large-scale software products.
- Strong foundation of technicalities with hands-on experience on data structures and algorithms, virtualization, performance tuning, software design principles, and quality assurance and validation.
- Ability to design complex system architecture and components.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, API lifecycle management, DevOps, microservices, and SaaS/PaaS engineering.
- Exposure to major cloud computing platforms (preferably GCP), open-source projects, and industry best practices in software engineering.
