This role sits at the intersection of advanced machine learning and business execution. We’re looking for a Director of Engineering who can build and scale AI/ML capabilities that move beyond experimentation into reliable, production-grade systems. The focus is on translating data into intelligent products, while building teams that can consistently deliver at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the AI/ML engineering roadmap, aligned with company priorities
- Build and lead teams across ML engineering, data platforms, and applied AI
- Own the end-to-end ML lifecycle — data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, deployment, and monitoring
- Partner with product and business teams to identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases
- Design and evolve scalable ML architectures and platform capabilities
- Establish best practices for MLOps, model governance, and reproducibility
- Drive execution rigor — timelines, quality, and measurable outcomes
- Hire, mentor, and grow senior engineering leaders and high-impact ICs
Core Skills & Experience
- Proven experience building production-grade AI/ML systems at scale
- Strong hands-on background with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Deep proficiency in Python (and/or Java/Scala)
- Experience with distributed data and compute systems like Apache Spark
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes
- Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, feature stores, model serving, and real-time inference systems
- Experience implementing MLOps practices — CI/CD for ML, monitoring, retraining workflows
