Job details:
Everstage is building a modern revenue platform for enterprises, spanning Incentive Compensation, CPQ, and Planning and more underway. We operate in a space that sits at the intersection of revenue, finance, and operations — where complexity is real, data is messy, and accuracy is non-negotiable.
As we expand into a multi-product ecosystem, design plays a critical role in ensuring coherence, usability, and scalability across deeply interconnected workflows.
We’re looking for a Director of Design to lead and evolve our Product Design function through the next phase of scale.
Work
Location: Chennai
What you’ll do
- Lead and grow a high-performing design team across core product areas
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Implementations to shape the product roadmap and execution
- Drive design quality across the lifecycle — from early problem framing to final shipped experiences
- Actively participate in (and often lead) feature reviews, raising the bar on clarity, usability, and outcomes
- Get hands-on when needed — especially on complex or high-impact problem areas
- Establish frameworks and systems to help the team navigate functionally dense, data-heavy workflows
- Bring a strong point of view on how AI can reshape user workflows, especially in areas like data transformation, validation, and reporting
What we’re looking for
- Experience leading design for complex B2B or enterprise products (data-heavy or workflow-heavy products preferred)
- Comfort operating in domains with high functional depth — you don’t need to be the PM, but you should be able to engage meaningfully with complexity
- Ability to balance leadership and craft — knowing when to zoom out and when to go deep
- Strong product thinking — ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear, usable solutions
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, especially in implementation-heavy environments
- AI fluency — curiosity and practical understanding of how AI can meaningfully improve product and user experience
- Bias for action — someone who can operate effectively in a fast-moving, evolving environment
