Position Summary
The Business Development Director will spearhead global growth by unlocking and closing high-impact opportunities across AI, data, analytics, and enterprise transformation. This role goes beyond traditional business development, it is about defining strategic narratives, and positioning SpinTheory as a leader in business value creation. You will build and convert a high-quality international pipeline, engage with C-suite leaders and government decision-makers, and architect large-scale, outcome-led deals that combine data strategy, platforms, digital transformation, advanced analytics, and AI.
The ideal candidate brings a strong commercial instinct with the ability to navigate complex, multi-geography engagements and translate ambitious business challenges into scalable, AI-first solutions that deliver measurable economic impact. This role operates across global markets including North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, with flexibility for travel and time zones, and requires a mindset geared toward building long-term strategic partnerships.
Principal Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end business development lifecycle across global markets, including opportunity identification, qualification, proposal development, and deal closure.
- Build and maintain relationships with CXOs, government leaders, and senior enterprise stakeholders across multiple geographies.
- Develop and expand pipeline across priority sectors such as healthcare, public sector, financial services, and enterprise AI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape compelling, outcome-driven solution narratives aligned to client priorities.
- Position SpinTheory as a strategic partner through executive-level engagement and thought-led conversations on AI, efficiency, and transformation.
- Structure and negotiate complex, multi-country, multi-year engagements including consulting, platform, and implementation components.
- Establish and grow strategic partnerships with global technology providers, system integrators, and ecosystem partners.
- Navigate procurement processes including RFPs, public sector frameworks, and enterprise vendor onboarding across regions.
- Monitor global market trends, regulatory environments, and competitive landscape to inform growth strategy.
- Own revenue targets across assigned geographies and drive predictable pipeline conversion.
- Operate with flexibility across time zones, client environments, and evolving business priorities.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of AI, data, and analytics-driven business solutions in a global context.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across different cultures and geographies.
- Demonstrated success in closing large and complex international deals in consulting, technology, or services environments.
- Experience navigating global procurement, contracting, and compliance environments (public and private sector).
- Ability to translate business challenges into structured, scalable solution approaches.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and executive storytelling skills.
- High adaptability and comfort operating in fast-paced, cross-border environments.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in business development, consulting, or enterprise sales.
- Proven track record of closing high-value international deals (USD 1M–10M+ or equivalent).
- Experience in AI, data, analytics, or digital transformation services is strongly preferred.
- Experience working across North America, Middle East, or Europe markets preferred.
