Overview
- Own and lead end-to-end Data Engineering and Integration operations across the D&AI organization, ensuring stability, reliability, and service excellence for integration technologies and data pipelines.
- Manage L0–L2 operational support, frameworks, and automation, providing standardized operating models, tooling, and governance across enterprise data and integration platforms.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for ~120+ vendor resources, driving SLA performance, efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement across global operations.
- Serve as the central authority for integration operations and Data Engineering run, partnering closely with engineering, architecture, and platform teams to ensure seamless build-to-run transitions.
- Scale the role over time to include L3 sustainment responsibilities, aligning with existing Data Engineering leadership to deliver a cohesive, resilient, and mature support model across all levels of D&AI.
- Ensure seamless integration of CI/CD, data pipeline automation, and self-healing capabilities across the enterprise.
- Partner in building the next generation D&A platform(s), and leading a high-performing data operations team
- Lead and manage the full people, process and technology driven Data & Analytics platform technology strategy and cultural shift for PepsiCo IT to a world class data first organization working across all Sector S&T.
- Champion of PepsiCo’s Data & Analytics program and platform management supporting large scale global data engineering efforts parterning across S&T organization
- Support Data & Analytics Technology Transformations to provide full sustainment capabilities across the PepsiCo Data Estate, including data platform management automation of proactive issue identification and self-healing abilities and IT Platform strategy for migration technologies and critical integration with other technologies.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Data Engineering, Integration Engineering, Analytics, CloudOps, Security, Infrastructure, and BI teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and well‑governed data pipelines and integration platforms across D&AI.
- Act as a strategic liaison across IT, D&AI leadership, platform teams, data owners, and compliance groups to ensure integration operations, DataOps practices, and automation frameworks align with enterprise security and regulatory standards.
- Provide executive-level visibility into integration and data operations health, L0–L2 service performance, operational risks, incident trends, and maturity progress to senior leaders and D&AI stakeholders.
- Own end-to-end Data Engineering and Integration operations for L0–L2 support, including monitoring, testing, alerting, observability, and sustainment of enterprise data pipelines and integration services in partnership with engineering teams.
- Enable and govern enterprise integration capabilities, covering data ingestion, transformation, movement, orchestration, and framework standardization across D&AI.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and production support for data and integration services, ensuring SLA adherence, demand alignment, and effective issue resolution; engage closely with SMEs and delivery teams.
- Lead framework and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, accelerate recovery, and enable scale across integration and data engineering operations.
- Partner in intake, prioritization, and Agile execution processes for data and integration teams, shaping L0–L2 operational strategy and driving execution excellence across D&AI.
- Act as the primary operational escalation point for data and integration services, proactively managing stakeholder expectations and operational risks.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineering L3 sustain leadership to ensure clean build‑to‑run transitions, clear ownership boundaries, and readiness for future expansion of L3 responsibilities into this role.
- Define, automate, and enforce operational policies, standards, and procedures, including incident, problem, and change management processes to ensure consistent and predictable service delivery.
- Oversee 24x7 operational coverage and incident response for L0–L2, including triage, escalation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous service improvement.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders, using transparency, structured communication, and problem-solving to manage expectations during incidents and operational events.
- Foster a service‑oriented and customer‑obsessed culture across vendor teams supporting data and integration services.
- Lead and manage ~120+ vendor resources, driving performance, SLA adherence, skills development, and operational consistency across global locations.
- Remove operational friction and barriers to agility, enabling teams to adapt priorities while maintaining platform stability and service reliability.
- Define organizational structures, vendor models, and capacity plans to support current L0–L2 operations and future expansion into L3 sustainment across D&AI.
- Leverage deep expertise in data engineering, integration technologies, and large-scale operations to establish credibility, guide decisions, and align integration services with enterprise D&AI objectives.
Qualifications
- 20+ years of technology work experience in a large-scale Global organization – CPG preferred.
- 15+ years of experience working in Data& Analytics field.
- 15+ years of experience working within a cross-functional IT organization.
- 8+ years of experience in leadership/management experience.
- Excellent Communication: must have the ability to empathize with customers and convey confidence.
- Able to explain highly technical issues to varied audiences.
- Able to prioritize and advocate customer’s needs to the proper channels.

- Significant experience in delivering large scale operational services in a complex-change environment.

- Experience working across the PepsiCo organization, ideally with multi-country or global implementation experience involving data.
- Knowledge of some of the key concepts around master data management, data standards, analytics, and digital transformation.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of data acquisition, data catalogues, data standards, and data management tools.
- Strong Communication Skills/Able to Persuade/Influence Others at all Organization Levels and the ability foster lasting partnerships.
