The University invites applications from accomplished academic and industry leaders for the position of Director-cum-Professor – Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI).
The role will provide strategic academic and institutional leadership for developing the University's BFSI portfolio, with responsibility for academic excellence, faculty development, research, industry partnerships, executive education, student employability, and institutional growth.
The incumbent will lead the development of a Centre/School of Excellence in BFSI, aligned with emerging trends in banking, financial services, insurance, fintech, investment, risk management, and digital finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the University's BFSI academic portfolio and contribute to institutional planning and governance.
- Develop and strengthen BFSI programmes, curriculum, pedagogy, academic quality, and industry relevance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop faculty and academic teams while fostering a culture of excellence, research, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Build strategic partnerships with banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, fintechs, financial institutions, consulting firms, regulators, and professional bodies.
- Drive executive education, corporate training, consulting, live projects, internships, placements, and industry-academia initiatives.
- Establish and lead research, consulting, thought leadership, and knowledge-development initiatives in BFSI.
- Promote emerging areas including FinTech, Digital Banking, AI & Analytics, Risk Management, InsurTech, Wealth Management, ESG and Sustainable Finance.
- Represent the University at national and international academic, industry, policy, and professional forums.
- Contribute to enhancing the University's academic reputation, rankings, accreditation, industry standing, and revenue-generating opportunities.
- Support the Vice Chancellor and senior University leadership in strategic academic and institutional initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. in Management, Finance, Banking, Economics, Commerce, Insurance, Financial Services, or a related discipline.
- Eligibility for Professor as per applicable UGC/University norms.
- Significant experience in higher education, academic administration, and institutional leadership.
- Strong understanding and demonstrated engagement with the BFSI sector.
- Proven track record in industry partnerships, research, executive education, consulting, or institutional development will be preferred.
