About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Communications Director for India and Philippines.
In This Role, You Will
This role will lead the communications team for India and Philippines and will be responsible for strategic planning and counsel, building an integrated communications strategy including executive communications, external communications and internal communication. The leader will be accountable for thinking ahead, engaging proactively and delivering with excellence across the spectrum of responsibilities.
- Manage a team of managers and more experienced level individual contributors responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans that advance Wells Fargo’s reputation as an industry leader
- Manage communications strategy and provide support for large size business segment
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to executives
- Inform and influence decision makers at the executive level
- Collaborate with executives on business objectives and strategy to enhance organizational brand and reputation
- Partner with other Communications teams to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Communications
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- Specific responsibilities include:
- Lead communications via providing strategic counsel, developing the function and support senior leadership team.
- Lead the communications team responsible for executive, internal, and external communications for the region
- Provide transformational leadership that enables teams to see what’s possible for their work and their careers. Work with senior leadership to drive priorities across the region
- Align and synthesize global and regional strategies and approaches
- Work with clients to develop, deploy, and monitor strategic, cross-functional and integrated communications plans that are aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Have a growth mindset with the ability to deliver wins, while building towards a long-term vision.
- Exhibit a high level of initiative and ownership, while simultaneously building a culture of collaboration, prioritization and pay for performance across cross-functional teams.
- Provide strong leadership to communications employees, including coaching, collaboration, and a focus on individual talent development.
- Build a culture of data driven storytelling, leveraging insights to drive outcomes and demonstrate business impact.
- Understanding audience needs and creating effective communications strategies to reach and engage them.
- Consult on campaigns across the Enterprise to ensure we create an integrated and authentic story to demonstrate our commitment to our employees and value proposition.
- Leverage the communication partners to develop best in class content, storytelling, branding and media results.
- Lead innovative approaches to help leaders create brand personas
- Offer insights and influence decision-making based on risk or reputational matters.
- Create communications that are inclusive and reflect company values
- Collaborate across Public Affairs to coordinate work and ensure a “One Wells Fargo” approach.
- Strong candidates will have:
- “Three sixty” communications skills that include strong storytelling and content development in addition to superlative writing skills.
- Excellent relationship skills; good listener; respects the expertise of others; proven ability to equally motivate and garner action from superiors, peers and subordinates, whether there is a formal reporting relationship or not.
- Demonstrated critical interpersonal relations and judgment skills in working with executives, guiding executives in communications strategy and influencing outcomes. The ability to quickly establish credibility with management and function with peers at the corporate and divisional levels is essential.

Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications
- A professional communications background, including a demonstrated progression of successful experience developing integrated communications strategies that integrate global and regional strategies
- Experience working for a financial services company or otherwise in a communications leader capacity
- Deep expertise in digital storytelling channels, audience segmentation and leveraging a multi-channel approach to drive effective storytelling for key audiences
- Experience in leveraging research, data and insights to develop a robust communications strategy that delivers against key business imperatives.
- Demonstrated track record in developing and implementing compelling narratives to advance corporate reputation.
- Ability to advance work in the short-term while managing a long-term roadmap and vision for the organization.
- Experience in traditional and non-traditional marketing tactics, content strategy, and change management best practices.
- Experience in crisis communications and issues management, particularly for a large-consumer oriented organization.
- Experience leading, geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization.
- Experience counseling and preparing leaders for executive engagements.
- Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels.
