Role Overview:
We are looking for a high-impact media sales professional who brings strong brand relationships and monetization expertise across influencers, content, IP, and media inventory.
This role goes beyond traditional sales, you will be responsible for selling ideas, concepts, influencer ecosystems, and proprietary offerings (including licensing and workflow products) to brands and agencies.
The ideal candidate has deep connections within brand marketing teams and media agencies, understands how to package and sell non-traditional media, and can independently drive revenue through strategic partnerships and deal-making.
Key Responsibilities
Media & Partnership Sales
• Drive revenue by selling influencer campaigns, branded content, media inventory, and IP-led concepts to brands and agencies
• Conceptualise and sell integrated solutions combining content, creators, performance marketing, and distribution
• Monetise existing and new IPs, licensing opportunities, whitelisting deals, and proprietary workflow/tech products
• Sell across formats — branded content, display advertising, programmatic packages, sponsorships, and performance-linked brand deals
Brand & Agency Relationships
• Leverage and grow your existing network with brand marketers, media planners, and agency partners
• Build and nurture long-term partnerships with CMOs, Brand Heads, and Marketing Leads across categories — BFSI, FMCG, Auto, Telecom, Technology, and beyond
• Develop and own the agency book as a dedicated revenue stream, not just a supplementary channel
• Act as a strategic partner to clients, not just a vendor
Revenue Infrastructure & Ownership
• Own end-to-end sales: lead → pitch → negotiation → closure
• Set up and scale the revenue function — including onboarding agencies, establishing programmatic and direct-deal pipelines, and building a repeatable sales playbook
• Drive monthly and quarterly revenue targets with a focus on high-value partnerships and retainers
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling across IONZ group companies
Solution Selling & Pitching
• Translate creative ideas into compelling, sellable business propositions
• Collaborate with internal teams to build pitch decks, concepts, and go-to-market narratives tailored to specific brand KPIs
• Lead client presentations and negotiations for high-value deals, navigating multi-stakeholder buying processes
• Articulate AI-powered solutions to non-technical brand stakeholders in a compelling, jargon-free manner
Market & Opportunity Development
• Identify emerging trends in influencer marketing, branded content, performance marketing, and media monetisation
• Spot opportunities for new IP creation, brand collaborations, and format sales
• Represent the company at industry events, media forums, and networking platforms
Desired Skills & Experience
Essential
• 10–14 years of experience in media sales, branded content, influencer marketing sales, or integrated brand partnerships — with a career spanning digital-native platforms such as content publishers, audio/OTT platforms, or creator networks
• Demonstrated track record of independently closing significant brand deals and hitting or exceeding revenue targets across multiple employers
• Experience building and owning a regional or national agency book — not just managing inbound agency briefs
• Ability to sell across the full spectrum — display advertising, branded content, influencer packages, performance marketing, programmatic deals, and SaaS-adjacent products
• An established network with brand-side decision-makers (CMOs, brand heads, media planners) and agency leads across multiple verticals in India
• Strong consultative selling ability: listening, shaping solutions, and navigating multi-stakeholder buying processes
• Excellent pitch and proposal skills — both verbal and written — with the ability to tailor narratives to different audiences and categories
• Comfortable articulating AI-powered solutions to non-technical brand stakeholders
Preferred
• Prior experience at a digital-first media company, content studio, audio/OTT platform, influencer/creator platform, or large-format branded content agency
• Experience as an early or founding member of a revenue team — setting up ad sales infrastructure, onboarding agencies and DSPs/SSPs, and building processes from zero
• Experience in team management — having led or mentored a team of category leads or sales executives
• Familiarity with programmatic advertising: DSPs, SSPs, and deal structuring across open and private marketplaces
• Familiarity with licensing frameworks, IP deal structures, whitelisting, and format sales
• Working knowledge of AI tools and how they are being adopted by marketing and content teams
• Experience presenting and selling workflow or SaaS products to marketing or content teams
• Proficiency with CRM platforms
• MBA or postgraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field — from a recognised institution
