Role Description The Director role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The Director will oversee strategy, operations, and delivery for ITS and smart transport projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, managing key client relationships, and driving business development initiatives in target markets. The role involves setting performance objectives, monitoring project progress, managing budgets and resources, and ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance. The Director is expected to collaborate with technical experts, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and represent ICT-Works in industry forums, partnerships, and high-level negotiations.
Qualifications
- Leadership and management skills, including experience guiding cross-functional teams, mentoring staff, and driving organizational performance.
- Strategic planning and business development skills, with the ability to identify market opportunities, shape go-to-market strategies, and build long-term partnerships.
- Project and program management capabilities, such as overseeing complex, multi-site implementations, managing budgets, timelines, and risk, and ensuring delivery quality.
- Domain knowledge in transportation, ITS, smart mobility, or related technology-driven infrastructure sectors, with familiarity in fare collection, tolling, or public transport systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including negotiation, presentation, and the ability to engage effectively with public and private sector partners.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, technology, business administration, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience in senior leadership roles, preferably in technology, transportation, or infrastructure organizations; experience working across African or international markets is an advantage.
- Comfort working on-site in Delhi, India, with readiness to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and regional engagements.
