JIIT invites applications from eminent, dynamic and committed to man, establish and lead the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).
Desirable Skills
- Academic and administrative leadership of CDOE.
- Planning and implementation of ODL/online programmes as per UGC norms
- Quality assurance, coordination with internal units, Industry collaboration and regulatory compliance.
- Exposure to LMS platforms, digital content development, MOOCs, SWAYAM, blended learning Frameworks.
- Experience in regulatory submissions, NAAC accreditation processes, and quality assurance mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic and administrative leadership to the CDOE.
- Plan, develop, and implement ODL and Online programmes in compliance with UGC norms.
- Ensure quality standards in course design, multimedia content, learner support, examination and evaluation systems.
- coordinate with Schools/Departments, Examination Cell, IT Service, and Student Support Services.
- Promote collaborations with industry and academic institutions for digital education initiatives.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, data management and statutory compliance.
Qualifications
- PhD in Science/Engineering/Management.
- 10+ years' experience of full-time experience in online education, preferably as a Dean or Director in a well-recognized Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).
- Proven track record of leadership, innovation and institutional development, with a strong commitment to academic excellence and digital learning.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, people management, and team building skills.
