Role Description The Director role at GirlScript Summer of Code 2025 is a full-time, on-site position based in Noida. The Director will oversee program planning and execution, coordinate with mentors, project maintainers, and volunteers, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include setting strategic goals, managing timelines, supervising teams, and maintaining transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders. The Director will also lead outreach efforts, support partnership development, and monitor program impact and quality. This role involves making data-informed decisions, resolving operational challenges, and fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment for all participants.
Qualifications
- Program and project management skills, including experience in planning, organizing, and overseeing complex initiatives.
- Leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills for working with mentors, participants, partners, and sponsors.
- Experience in community-building, event coordination, or education-focused initiatives, preferably in tech or open source environments.
- Ability to analyze data, track metrics, and use insights to improve program processes and outcomes.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and creating a supportive environment for participants from diverse backgrounds.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as management, technology, education, or communications) or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working on-site in Noida and collaborating closely with local and remote team members.
