Position: Director – Placements


Role Purpose

The Director – Placements will be responsible for developing and executing the institute’s placement and corporate relations strategy. The role involves building strong corporate partnerships, ensuring quality internship and placement opportunities for students, and enhancing the institute’s reputation among recruiters.


Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate Relations & Industry Engagement

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporates, HR leaders, and industry partners.

• Expand the corporate recruiter network across sectors such as BFSI, Consulting, FMCG, IT, Analytics, Manufacturing, and Startups.

• Identify and onboard new recruiters for internships and final placements.

• Engage with the alumni network to strengthen corporate partnerships.


2. Placement Strategy & Execution

• Design and implement the annual placement plan for the program.

• Ensure maximum placement opportunities for eligible students.

• Organize and manage campus recruitment drives, interviews, and selection processes.

• Monitor placement performance, salary benchmarks, and industry trends.


3. Internship Management

• Facilitate summer internships and live projects for all students.

• Develop relationships with companies for internship opportunities and pre-placement offers (PPOs).

• Monitor internship performance and ensure alignment with industry expectations.


4. Student Career Development

• Coordinate with the academic team to ensure students are industry-ready.


5. Corporate Branding & Events

• Represent the institute in corporate forums and industry events.

• Organize corporate conclaves, guest lectures, industry interaction sessions, and networking events.

• Promote the institute’s placement achievements and success stories.


6. Placement MIS & Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive placement data and corporate database.

• Track metrics such as:

Number of companies visiting campus

Average and highest salary packages

Sector-wise placements

• Prepare reports for management, accreditation bodies, and marketing purposes.


7. Team Leadership

• Lead and manage the Placement and Corporate Relations team.

• Define KPIs and performance goals for the placement department.

• Ensure smooth coordination between students, faculty, and recruiters.

• Number of companies visiting campus

• Internship coverage for all students

• Placement percentage of eligible students

• Average and highest salary package growth

• Number of new recruiters added annually

• Recruiter satisfaction and repeat recruiters


Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM from a recognized institution.


Experience

• 12–15 years of experience in corporate relations, recruitment, or placement management.

• At least 5–7 years in a leadership role in placements or industry HR/corporate partnerships.
