Role Description The Diploma Engineer Trainee will work full time on-site at Gabriel India Limited’s facility in Kasauli, supporting daily production and engineering activities. Responsibilities include monitoring manufacturing processes, assisting in equipment setup and maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards. The trainee will collect and analyze basic production data, help in troubleshooting process issues under guidance, and support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. The role also involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, maintaining accurate documentation, and actively participating in training sessions to build technical and professional capabilities. Over time, the Diploma Engineer Trainee is expected to develop hands-on expertise in automotive component manufacturing and contribute to efficient, high-quality output.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational technical skills in mechanical, automotive, or related engineering disciplines, supported by a relevant diploma from a recognized institution.
- Candidates should possess skills in basic manufacturing operations, equipment handling, and understanding of production workflows and safety practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in interpreting technical drawings, using measuring instruments, and applying quality control concepts in a production environment.
- Candidates should possess skills in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and the ability to assist in process troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
- Candidates should possess skills in teamwork, communication, and collaboration with production, quality, and maintenance teams on the shop floor.
- Candidates should possess basic computer literacy, including familiarity with MS Office and the ability to maintain technical and production documentation.
- Willingness to work on-site in Kasauli, learn new technologies, follow safety and compliance requirements, and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.
- Prior internship or vocational training experience in automotive or component manufacturing will be considered an advantage.
