Role Description The Diploma Engineer Trainee will support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of air-conditioning systems(Chillers) at customer sites in Punjab, Haryana,Himachal, Jammu. This full-time, on-site role involves assisting senior engineers with equipment testing, troubleshooting, and performance checks, while ensuring compliance with company standards and safety procedures. The trainee will help document technical activities, prepare basic reports, and maintain records of service and installation work. Daily responsibilities also include coordinating with internal teams, learning to interpret technical drawings and manuals, and providing technical support under supervision. The role offers structured training to develop practical engineering skills and an understanding of Daikin’s products and processes.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Polytechnic College, Patiala.
- Basic understanding of air-conditioning systems, refrigeration cycle, and related mechanical/electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an interest in hands-on technical work and field operations.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, technicians, and customers.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chandigarh and travel locally as required for installations and service calls.
- Knowledge of safety practices and a commitment to following standard operating procedures.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office, for report preparation and documentation.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and grow within a structured training environment.
