Dion’s is looking for a skilled and motivated Facilities Technician to join our team at our Commissary. This role is ideal for someone with food production or warehouse equipment experience who enjoys problem-solving, takes initiative, and thrives in both independent and team-based work environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with production machinery in a warehouse, bakery, or food manufacturing environment, along with working knowledge of plumbing systems and general facility maintenance. HVAC experience is a plus.

 

As a Facilities Technician, you’ll help maintain and repair the equipment that keeps our commissary running smoothly. We provide training on specialized equipment used in our operations, and this role offers great opportunities for skill development and career growth.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair production equipment used in food production and warehouse environments, including mixers, pumps, motors, conveyors, filling and packaging machines, and labelers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems and facility infrastructure supporting commissary operations.
  • Assist with HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications by using manuals and technical documentation.
  • Respond promptly to production requests to improve equipment uptime, reduce downtime, and maintain safe operations.
  • Collaborate across teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Assist with training on the safe operation and repair of production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and facility-related issues.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience working with production or warehouse machinery in a bakery, food production, manufacturing, or distribution environment preferred.
  • Plumbing experience, including diagnosing and repairing facility plumbing systems.
  • HVAC or small refrigeration experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing blueprints, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for documenting maintenance tasks.
  • Proficiency with manual and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instruments.
  • A valid NM driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical exam.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position; the schedule will include Monday through Friday, with a rotating weekend shift
