Company Description Infinity Quality Services (IQS) is a leading provider of Inspection and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) services based in India, supporting major industrial sectors. The company delivers a full range of inspection and training solutions, including dimensional inspections, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection, penetrant testing, hardness testing, and visual inspections. All inspections and training are conducted by technicians and instructors certified to SNT-TC-1A requirements by the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT). IQS offers services either at client sites or in its dedicated classroom facilities, providing flexibility for organizational and employee needs. With extensive hands-on experience, IQS supports industries such as casting, forging, welding, automotive, marine, and equipment manufacturing.
Role Description The Dimensional Inspector role is a full-time, on-site position based in Panihati. The Dimensional Inspector will perform precise dimensional measurements on railway components and assemblies using appropriate gauges, tools, and instruments, ensuring conformance to drawings, standards, and specifications. Responsibilities include preparing inspection reports, documenting findings, identifying nonconformities, and communicating results to supervisors, engineers, and quality teams. The role involves working closely with production and quality personnel to support root cause analysis, maintain inspection records, and follow established procedures and safety guidelines. The Dimensional Inspector is also expected to contribute to continuous improvement activities and uphold Infinity Quality Services’ commitment to high-quality inspection practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Control and Inspection to verify product dimensions and compliance with technical requirements.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Assurance and Quality Management to support adherence to standards, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to clearly report inspection results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant experience with dimensional measuring tools and instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) and understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Certificate or diploma in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field is preferred; prior experience in industrial or manufacturing inspection is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow documented procedures, basic computer skills for report preparation, and a commitment to workplace safety and ethical practices.
