We are looking for skilled and motivated professionals to strengthen our DCM SM (Steel Making) Design Team in the Engineering Department.
Job Title: Senior/ Professional Mechanical Design. - 6 to 12 years' Experience
Location: Chennai | Noida | Kolkata
Key Responsibilities
- Develop basic and detailed engineering designs, General Arrangements (GA), and manufacturing drawings for Steel Melt Shop equipment, including EAF, LF, and VD/VOD systems.
- Execute mechanical design activities in compliance with Danieli standards and applicable international engineering codes.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), equipment specifications, and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and cross-functional project teams to resolve technical requirements and ensure project alignment.
- Perform engineering calculations, design verification, and optimization to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support throughout manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases.
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards, project requirements, and scheduled timelines.
Technical Requirements:
- Working experience must in Upstream Steel Making Plant Design.
- Strong knowledge of BF, BOF, EAF, LF, RH, VD/VOD and associated steelmaking equipment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
- Knowledge of international design standards and industrial plant engineering.
- Experience in equipment layout development, detailed design, and BOM preparation.
- Exposure to customer and vendor technical interactions is preferred.
- Familiarity with PLM systems will be an added advantage.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (9-15yrs) from recognized college/university also eligible.
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
