Digital Workplace Engineer
The Digital Workplace Engineer is part of Sinch's global Enterprise IT organisation and plays a key role in managing and improving the end-user digital workplace experience across the business.
This role combines operational, analytical, and technical responsibilities, with a strong focus on device lifecycle management, process improvement, asset management, and workplace technology enablement. The successful candidate will work closely with global IT teams, vendors, procurement partners, and stakeholders across the business to support and enhance the delivery of IT services and hardware to Sinchers globally.
In this role, it is important to be proactive, self-driven, forward-thinking, collaborative, and solutions-oriented, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Asset Management
- Manage purchases and procurement coordination for IT hardware
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for IT hardware and end-user devices
- Support asset management processes including inventory tracking, auditing, and lifecycle reporting
- Manage takeback and redeployment processes for IT hardware
- Handle deviations, escalations, and ad hoc hardware requests
- Coordinate with global procurement partners and logistics providers
- Maintain accurate documentation relating to hardware procurement, asset management, and operational processes
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and streamline operational processes
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with global Enterprise IT, Security, Procurement, Finance, HR, and external vendors
- Provide input into hardware standards, device strategy, and workplace technology improvements
- Support regional and global IT initiatives and rollout activities
- Act as a key contributor in improving the overall Digital Workplace experience for Sinchers globally
- Assist in driving alignment and consistency across global workplace processes and standards
Digital Workplace & Endpoint Engineering
- Support endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure / Entra ID, and JAMF Pro
- Assist with the configuration, deployment, management, and compliance of Windows and macOS devices globally
- Support device lifecycle management including provisioning, configuration, deployment, redeployment, and retirement of assets
- Assist with device policies, compliance profiles, software deployment, and automation workflows
- Support troubleshooting and day-to-day administration of modern workplace technologies and endpoint management solutions
- Work closely with senior engineers and IT support teams to improve automation, standardisation, and overall user experience
- Assist with onboarding new technologies and continuous improvements within the Digital Workplace environment
Requirements
- Secondary or tertiary education within IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in Digital Workplace, IT Operations, Endpoint Management, or IT Support environments
- Strong understanding of modern device management concepts and endpoint technologies
- Experience or exposure to Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure / Entra ID, and JAMF Pro
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments
- Familiarity with device compliance, configuration profiles, software deployment, and identity/access management
- Experience working with hardware asset management and procurement processes is highly desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, and work independently in a global environment
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
- Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence is advantageous
