Company Description
VPS Lakeshore is one of Kerala's premier multi-specialty hospitals, recognized for exceptional medical education, groundbreaking research, and patient-focused clinical care. As an international healthcare destination, it offers 24/7 emergency services and specialized treatment across numerous medical fields, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, and orthopedics. Established in 1996 and officially opened in 2003, VPS Lakeshore is known for its advanced diagnostic and treatment services. With a commitment to global healthcare standards and cutting-edge facilities, the hospital continues to serve both Indian and international patients with excellence.
Role Description
The Digital Transformation Analyst is, first and foremost, a change agent. The role exists to ensure that every digital initiative at VPS Lakeshore Hospital — new HIS modules, telemedicine, patient apps, AI tools, automation — actually changes behaviour on the ground and delivers the intended outcomes for patients, clinicians, and operations. The Digital Transformation Analyst will work alongside the Head of IT (who owns the technology) and the broader hospital leadership team to redesign workflows, drive adoption, build internal champions, manage the people-side of change, and measure whether transformation is sticking. This is a hands-on, hospital-floor role that combines structured change-management methodology with deep stakeholder engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Own the people-side of every major digital initiative — from EMR enhancements and new modules to telemedicine, patient apps, AI use cases, RPA, and analytics roll-outs.
•Build and execute structured change-management plans for each initiative using established frameworks (ADKAR, Kotter, or equivalent), covering stakeholder mapping, impact analysis, communications, training, and reinforcement.
•Partner with clinicians, nurses, front-office staff, and back-office teams to redesign workflows around new digital tools — so that the technology fits how people actually work, not the other way around.
•Run discovery sessions, shadowing, and current-state journey mapping to surface friction points, then co-design future-state workflows with the people who will use them.
•Recruit, train, and support a network of digital champions / super-users across departments to sustain adoption after go-live.
•Design and deliver training programmes, quick-reference guides, screen-by-screen SOPs, and floor-walk support during rollouts.
•Build adoption dashboards and behaviour-change KPIs — logins, feature utilisation, drop-offs, time-on-task, exception rates — and track them rigorously post go-live.
•Run resistance management — identify pockets of low adoption, diagnose root causes (tool, training, workflow, leadership), and intervene with targeted plans.
•Lead hyper-care after go-live: daily stand-ups, issue triage with the IT team, rapid fixes, and structured stabilisation reviews.
•Develop crisp executive communications, project status updates, and board-ready narratives on transformation progress, adoption, and impact.
•Partner closely with the Head of IT and the IT team — they own delivery and stability of the technology; this role owns adoption, behaviour change, and outcomes.
•Build VPS Lakeshore’s internal change-management playbook over time so the institution gets faster and better at digital change with every initiative.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Behavioural Sciences, Organisational Psychology, or related field. MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
•3–6 years of experience in change management, transformation consulting, organisational design, or large-scale technology adoption programmes — ideally with exposure to healthcare or other complex frontline-worker environments.
•Demonstrated experience leading change for at least one significant technology or process roll-out — measured by adoption, behaviour change, and business outcomes, not just go-live.
•Strong workflow analysis and process redesign skills, with comfort sketching current and future state on a whiteboard with a clinical or operational team.
•Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to move fluently between bedside conversations and C-suite reviews.
•Comfortable building simple adoption dashboards in Excel / Power BI / Tableau and turning data into a change story.
•Empathetic, patient, persistent — this role wins by influence, not authority.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Formal change-management certification (Prosci ADKAR, CCMP, or equivalent).
•Background in management consulting, particularly in healthcare or operations transformation practice.
•Prior experience implementing or driving adoption of a Hospital Information System / EMR, telemedicine platform, or patient engagement app.
•Familiarity with design thinking, service design, lean / Six Sigma, and agile delivery.
•Exposure to Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), ABHA, or other Indian digital health frameworks.
•Working knowledge of healthcare accreditation standards (NABH, JCI) and the operational implications for clinical workflow.
