Role Overview
The Manager – Digital Sales Department will be responsible for building, managing, and scaling the company’s digitally originated sales channel, starting with centralised operations from Sivakasi and expanding across multiple states through licensed operating warehouses over time.
This role owns digital enquiry management, conversion readiness, and coordination with shared operations, ensuring that all digital demand is handled efficiently, compliantly, and in a scalable manner — particularly during peak seasonal periods such as Diwali.

Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Sales Channel Ownership (Centralised Control)
• Own and manage all digital sales entry points including:
• Website Quick Purchase Sheet
• WhatsApp enquiry numbers
• CRM / TeleCRM or lead management tools
• Act as the single point of accountability for all digitally generated enquiries across multiple states
• Ensure consistent pricing logic, response standards, and customer communication across regions

2. Multi-State Enquiry Management & Routing
• Monitor and manage enquiries originating from:
• Tamil Nadu
• Karnataka (Bangalore)
• Kerala
• Telangana (Hyderabad)
• Ensure accurate capture of location, customer type, and order intent
• Coordinate with shared operations to fulfil orders from the licensed Sivakasi warehouse
• Design enquiry-routing processes that are ready for future state-level warehouses

3. Seasonal Sales Readiness & Peak Management
• Lead pre-season planning activities ahead of Diwali and other peak periods:
• Product catalogue finalisation
• Digital enquiry templates and standard replies
• Pricing coordination with management
• Mock runs of enquiry-to-dispatch workflows
• Manage high enquiry volumes during peak season by:
• Assigning enquiries to executives or shared resources
• Monitoring response time and follow-up discipline
• Escalating operational or stock issues proactively

4. Coordination with Shared Operations & Finance
• Work closely with the central Operations team for:
• Order confirmation and handover
• Stock availability alignment
• Packing and dispatch prioritisation
• Coordinate with Finance for:
• Payment confirmation
• Invoice generation
• Resolution of payment-related issues
• Ensure digital-origin orders are fulfilled smoothly through the shared warehouse setup

5. Expansion Planning & Future Readiness
• Track and analyse state-wise digital enquiry data to identify:
• Demand concentration
• SKU movement patterns
• Repeat customer behaviour
• Support management in evaluating the feasibility of opening licensed operating warehouses in other states
• Help design scalable SOPs for future multi-warehouse digital sales operations

• Conduct post-season analysis on:
• Enquiry volume vs conversion
• Regional demand trends
• Operational bottlenecks
• Recommend improvements in:
• Digital sales processes
• Enquiry handling workflows
• Coordination between sales and operations
• Maintain clean customer and enquiry data for repeat business and long-term planning

• Ensure all digital sales activities remain compliant with applicable regulations
• Maintain a clear distinction between online enquiry and offline order fulfilment
• Ensure proper documentation, audit readiness, and process transparency

Skills & Competencies
• Strong experience in sales coordination, inside sales, or digital sales management
• Hands-on exposure to WhatsApp-based sales, CRM tools, or enquiry-led selling
• Excellent cross-functional coordination and communication skills
• Ability to work calmly under high-pressure, seasonal sales environments
• Process-driven mindset with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable managing ambiguity and scaling systems over time

Preferred Candidate Profile
• 6–10 years of experience in sales operations, digital sales, or enquiry management roles
• Experience handling multi-region or centralised sales operations preferred
• Exposure to FMCG, consumer goods, or regulated industries is an advantage
• Prior experience with seasonal or peak-driven sales cycles strongly preferred
• Strong organisational and leadership capabilities
