Digital Publishing Automation Engineer Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated Digital Publishing Automation Engineer to support and enhance our digital content production and publishing workflows. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication to help automate processes, improve efficiency, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality digital content.
Key Responsibilities· Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for digital content production and publishing workflows.
· Create and manage scripts to automate repetitive tasks and streamline operational processes.
· Work with structured content and data formats to support content transformation and delivery.
· Troubleshoot workflow issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
· Collaborate with editorial, production, and technology teams to ensure smooth project execution.
· Monitor publishing workflows and proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and potential bottlenecks.
· Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the content lifecycle.
· Contribute to process improvement initiatives and recommend automation opportunities.
Required Skills

Technical Skills· Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Node JS, Extend script
· Proficiency in working with structured data formats such as DITA XML, JSON, and CSV.
· Solid understanding of HTML and CSS.
· Experience with digital content creation, transformation, and publishing workflows.
· Familiarity with content management systems and publishing pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications· Experience with digital publishing, educational publishing, or content production environments.
· Familiarity with workflow automation tools and content transformation processes.
· Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and scripting is a plus.
· Experience working with XML-based publishing systems is an advantage.
Experience· 5+ years of relevant experience in automation, digital publishing, content operations, or a related field.
