We're Hiring: Digital Publishing Automation Engineer
Job Summary
We're looking for a motivated Digital Publishing Automation Engineer to support and enhance our digital content production and publishing workflows — combining strong technical skills with problem-solving and communication to automate processes and ensure timely, high-quality content delivery.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
✅ Design, develop & maintain automation solutions for content production/publishing workflows
✅ Create and manage scripts to automate repetitive tasks
✅ Work with structured content/data formats for transformation and delivery
✅ Troubleshoot workflow issues and implement effective solutions
✅ Collaborate with editorial, production & tech teams
✅ Monitor workflows and proactively flag risks, dependencies & bottlenecks
✅ Maintain quality standards across the content lifecycle
✅ Recommend and drive process improvement/automation opportunities
🔹 Required Skills
Problem Solving: Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills; independently identifies issues and solutions; self-driven with minimal supervision.
Communication: Strong verbal/written skills; works well cross-functionally; proactively communicates status, risks & blockers.
Technical: JavaScript, Python, Node JS, ExtendScript | DITA XML, JSON, CSV | HTML/CSS | Content transformation & publishing workflows | CMS & publishing pipelines.
🔹 Preferred Qualifications
✨ Background in digital/educational publishing or content production
✨ Familiarity with workflow automation & content transformation tools
✨ Adobe InDesign scripting knowledge is a plus
✨ Experience with XML-based publishing systems is an advantage
🔹 Experience: 3–5+ years in automation, digital publishing, or content operations
