Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Mumbai for a Digital News Editor. The Digital News Editor will manage the editorial workflow, edit and refine news content, and develop engaging headlines. The responsibilities include working closely with journalists to ensure timely and accurate news stories, sourcing credible information, and maintaining alignment with editorial standards. The role also involves overseeing editorial schedules and coordinating with the new media team to ensure content reaches diverse platforms effectively.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in News Writing and Writing with strong storytelling abilities
- Experience in Journalism and expertise in Editorial practices
- Familiarity with New Media platforms and trends
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in news reporting
- Knowledge of media law and ethical standards in journalism
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- Prior experience in digital or traditional newsrooms is a plus
