Rocket Ship Dev is a Canada-based digital solutions company focused on helping small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) grow. We’re currently building our digital marketing delivery team and are looking for a hands-on, execution-focused digital marketing expert to partner with us.
🎯 Role Overview
We’re looking for a well-rounded digital marketing freelancer who can manage and execute campaigns across multiple channels, with a strong focus on lead generation and conversion optimizations for SMBs in Canada. This is not a strategy-only role—you’ll be expected to execute, optimize, and deliver measurable results.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Paid Advertising
- Plan, launch, and optimize campaigns on:
- Google Ads (Search, Display)
- Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)
- Perform keyword research, audience targeting, and budget allocation
- Monitor performance and optimize for CPL, CTR, and conversions
Social Media & Content
- Create and schedule social media posts (primarily for SMB clients)
- Develop ad creatives (images, copy, basic video direction)
- Repurpose content for different platforms
SEO (Basic to Advanced)
- Perform on-page SEO optimizations
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis
- Support blog/content SEO strategy
Website & Landing Pages
- Build and optimize landing pages (Wix, WordPress, or similar)
- Improve conversion rates (forms, UX, CTA placement)
- Ensure pages are optimized for speed and mobile
Analytics & Reporting
- Track performance using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, etc.
- Provide clear, concise monthly reports
- Share insights and recommendations for improvement
✅ Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience
- Proven experience running Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns
- Strong understanding of lead generation funnels
- Experience working with SMBs (preferred)
- Familiarity with:
- CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot)
- Landing page builders (Wix, WordPress, Webflow, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (English – written and spoken)
💡 Nice to Have (Bonus)
- Experience working with clients in Canada, US, or similar markets
- Basic knowledge of AI tools / automation
- Experience with email marketing or SMS automation
- Video editing or creative design skills
