Job Overview:
The Digital Marketing Specialist / Social Media is responsible for managing and executing digital marketing campaigns with a specific focus on social media platforms. They are tasked with increasing brand visibility, engagement, and lead generation through effective social media strategies and digital marketing tactics across various online channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy Development:
- Create and execute comprehensive social media marketing strategies that align with overall business goals, including brand awareness, lead generation, and audience engagement.
- Content Creation and Curation:
- Develop, curate, and publish engaging content (text, images, videos, infographics) for social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc., ensuring consistency with the brand voice and messaging.
- Social Media Campaign Management:
- Plan and manage social media campaigns, ensuring timely execution and optimizing performance based on metrics like engagement, reach, and conversions.
- Community Engagement:
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and interactions. Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and build relationships with the online community.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Track social media performance using analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Hootsuite). Provide regular reports to measure ROI, optimize campaigns, and adjust strategies based on results.
- SEO for Social Media:
- Optimize social media profiles and content for search ability. Use SEO techniques to increase organic reach on platforms like Instagram and YouTube.
- Collaborations and Influencer Partnerships:
- Identify and build relationships with influencers, bloggers, and brand advocates to amplify social media campaigns and increase reach.
- Brand Monitoring:
- Monitor social media platforms for mentions of the brand, relevant topics, competitors, and industry trends. Actively manage brand reputation online.
- Cross-Platform Integration:
- Integrate social media strategies with other digital marketing efforts (e.g., SEO, email marketing, content marketing) to create cohesive campaigns.
- Market Research and Trend Analysis:
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in social media marketing, digital advertising, and content creation. Use market research to inform strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven experience of at least 4 years or more as a Digital Marketing Specialist or Social Media Manager, with a strong portfolio of successful social media campaigns and digital marketing strategies.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube), analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.), social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social), and paid advertising platforms.
- Creative Skills:
- Strong creative writing, design, and video production skills, with the ability to create engaging content that resonates with the target audience.
- Analytical and Reporting Skills:
- Ability to analyze campaign performance, understand key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights to optimize future strategies.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with audiences, creating content, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability:
- Ability to adapt to new social media trends, algorithm changes, and evolving digital marketing technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors / Masters Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience with tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro).
