Our Client is seeking an experienced Manager – Digital Marketing (Content Operations & SEO) to lead website content execution, search optimization, and on‑site search relevance across a dynamic eCommerce platform. This role combines strategic SEO leadership with hands‑on CMS operations, ensuring content is accurate, discoverable, and aligned with business and brand objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Search Optimization & SEO Strategy
- Own and optimize on‑site search performance, including synonym management, relevance tuning, query handling, and zero‑result analysis.
- Establish a structured cadence for search optimization using user behavior insights, analytics, and performance metrics.
- Lead on‑page SEO governance, including metadata, headings, internal linking, and content structure to enhance discoverability.
- Partner with technology teams to ensure site architecture and technical SEO best practices are implemented effectively.
- Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to align SEO strategies with campaign and business objectives.
Content Operations & CMS Management
- Manage day‑to‑day CMS operations, including authoring, editing, scheduling, previewing, and publishing web content.
- Maintain website content across pages, campaigns, and categories to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
- Perform minor HTML and markup updates within CMS components to support SEO, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Act as the content quality gate by conducting pre‑publish QA checks to ensure compliance with publishing and SEO standards.
- Manage content publishing calendars to ensure timely delivery aligned with business priorities.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and analyze website performance, including user journeys, search engagement, and conversion metrics.
- Deliver actionable insights to improve content effectiveness, search relevance, and overall site performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, workflow enhancements, and platform optimizations.
- Provide input on CMS and SEO‑related enhancements to improve scalability and efficiency.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, digital, and technical teams to execute content and SEO strategies.
- Provide backup support for product content, taxonomy, PIM, and DAM activities to ensure team continuity.
- Support cross‑functional initiatives related to content, search, and digital experience improvements.
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands‑on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) and CMS/SmartEdit content publishing
- Strong expertise in SEO (technical and on‑page) and search optimization
- Experience with Solr search tuning and relevance management
- Proven experience in CMS content operations, QA, and publishing workflows
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive performance improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within life sciences or biotech industries
- Exposure to PIM, taxonomy, and DAM systems
- Familiarity with digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console)
- Experience in search reporting, optimization, and performance tracking
