The Opportunity
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Head to lead marketing strategy and execution for the Indian division of Ecompapi while also working with international clients.
This is a senior strategic role, not a coordination or single-channel specialist position.
The person in this role will take ownership of translating business goals into marketing strategy, guiding campaign execution across multiple channels, and mentoring a growing team of digital marketing professionals.
You will work closely with the founder and leadership team to shape the direction of marketing engagements and ensure that client work reflects both strategic clarity and operational excellence.
What You Will Do
- Lead the development of integrated digital marketing strategies for clients across multiple industries.
- Translate business objectives into structured marketing plans and measurable campaigns.
- Oversee execution across SEO, paid media, content marketing, and performance marketing channels.
- Evaluate campaign performance using analytics and continuously optimise strategies for better ROI.
- Guide the marketing team in executing campaigns aligned with strategic direction.
- Challenge unclear briefs and help clients refine their marketing goals.
- Collaborate with content, design, development, and strategy teams to deliver cohesive campaigns.
- Maintain high standards of marketing execution and accountability across projects.
Disciplines Required
This role requires strong working and execution knowledge across multiple digital marketing disciplines.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Technical, on-page, off-page, local, international, and AI-era search optimisation, including schema, Core Web Vitals, and entity-based SEO
Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO)
- Answer Engine Optimisation for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and voice search. Understood as a distinct strategy from SEO.
SEM
- Google Ads and Bing Ads. Campaign architecture, keyword strategy, bidding models, and continuous performance management.
SMM
- Organic and paid social across all major platforms. Platform-native execution, not the same content copied and pasted across channels.
Performance Marketing
- Full-funnel paid media, ROAS optimisation, multi-touch attribution, audience segmentation, and scaling decisions.
Digital PR
- Brand authority, link acquisition strategy, outreach, and reputation management.
CRO
- Landing page optimisation, A/B and multivariate testing, UX analysis, and conversion funnel diagnostics.
Content Marketing
- Strategy, planning, production oversight, distribution, and performance measurement.
Analytics and Reporting
- GA4, Search Console, Meta Ads Manager, attribution modelling, and stakeholder-ready reporting.
CRM and Automation
- Email flows, lead nurturing, segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and automation strategy.
Who You Are
- 10+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience across multiple disciplines.
- Experience working in environments where marketing is closely tied to business growth and performance metrics.
- Comfortable working at both the strategic and operational levels.
- You enjoy thinking about marketing systems rather than isolated campaigns.
- Communicate clearly with both clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions and refine marketing direction when needed.

What Success Looks Like
During the first 90 days, the Digital Marketing Head is expected to build a strong understanding of Ecompapi’s marketing foundation and begin establishing the strategic systems that support long-term growth. Early indicators of success may include:
- Conducting a self-audit of Ecompapi’s SEO rankings and AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) citation presence, followed by the development of a clear improvement plan.
- Reviewing the internal marketing and tooling stack to identify areas where fragmentation or inefficiencies exist.
- Rewriting or briefing a new homepage hero section that clearly leads with the client’s problem and value proposition.
- Completing or commissioning three client case studies prepared and ready for publication.
- Documenting the Listen – Align – Build – Improve delivery framework as a clear, client-facing process.
- Developing a standard client onboarding sequence along with a structured monthly reporting template.
- Launching the first long-form content piece anchored to Ecompapi’s positioning around unified digital growth.
Beyond the initial 90-day period, success in this role will be reflected through:
- Measurable improvements in Ecompapi’s search visibility and authority.
- A consistent and strategic content programme established in the market.
- Client reporting frameworks that clearly connect marketing activity to business outcomes.
- A marketing function that consistently reflects Ecompapi’s brand promise and strategic philosophy across every client and internal touchpoint.
