Full-time, permanent, long-term role · Remote (India / Pakistan / Philippines welcome)
ABOUT USWe're a growing UK company group operating in IT services, recycling and logistics, with around 8 websites — 6 already live — and new subscription products in development. Marketing strategy and content direction are set in-house; we need the specialist who makes the performance side work: paid search that generates business leads at a sensible cost, and the technical SEO that keeps a multi-site estate ranking. You'll be our first dedicated marketing hire, working directly with the leadership team — high trust, high ownership, and your results visible to the director every month.
THE ROLEPaid advertising and tracking come first, always. Around that core you'll run technical SEO across a multi-site estate, produce B2B content to our brief, build marketing automations, and report clearly. This is a doing role, not a managing role — you build the tracking, write the ads, fix the schema and publish-ready copy yourself.
WHAT YOU'LL DO● Paid search (first priority): rebuild conversion tracking properly (GA4, Tag Manager, form and call tracking) before any spend runs; structure and manage BOTH Google Ads and Microsoft (Bing) Ads — we actively run both platforms; build negative keyword lists; write and test ad copy; manage budgets with weekly cost-per-lead reporting across both platforms.
● Technical SEO across all sites: structured data/schema, redirects, Search Console monitoring, on-page optimisation, site-speed watching, index hygiene.
● Multi-site SEO management: coordinate and maintain SEO strategy across our full estate of 8 websites spanning three different industries. This includes cross-site internal linking strategy, consistent structured data implementation, and keeping all sites indexed and ranking simultaneously.
● Content: 2–4 SEO articles/guides per month written to our brief and approved claims list; anonymised case studies; landing-page copy updates.
● Automation: lead-capture flows, review-request sequences, monthly newsletter, B2B nurture emails using workflow automation tools.
● Reporting: one clear monthly dashboard for the director — spend, leads, cost per lead, rankings, reviews. Competitor monitoring.
● LinkedIn: 1–2 company posts weekly. (No other social channels — we're B2B and we know where our buyers are.)
WHAT WE REQUIRE● A minimum of 3 years' proper hands-on experience managing BOTH Google Ads and Microsoft (Bing) Ads — for B2B LEAD GENERATION specifically (not e-commerce, not app installs). We run both platforms and you'll manage both. You can show us real accounts and real results on a screen share, including at least one account where you personally reduced cost-per-lead or scaled lead volume, with numbers.
● GA4 and Google Tag Manager at builder level — you set up tracking yourself, you don't request it.
● Proven multi-site SEO management: you have managed SEO across multiple separate websites simultaneously — ideally across different industries or verticals — and can demonstrate this on a screen share with real Search Console data.
● Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO): working knowledge of how to optimise content and structured data for visibility in AI-powered search results (Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT search, and similar). You understand how this differs from traditional SEO and can show examples of where you have applied it.
● Strong written English — you'll write copy read by UK business decision-makers, and we test this in writing before any call.
● Technical SEO fundamentals: schema, redirects, Search Console diagnosis, Core Web Vitals awareness.
● Confident daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar) for drafting, research, analysis and reporting — AND the judgement to treat AI output as a starting point: everything is fact-checked, edited to brand voice, and verified against our approved claims list before it ships. We will ask you to demonstrate this in the interview.
● WordPress familiarity (enough to check and adjust what you publish).
● Meticulous about claims accuracy: our industry is compliance-led and every public statement must be true and approved. You'll work to a documented claims list — this is non-negotiable.
NICE TO HAVECall-tracking platforms · workflow automation experience · experience in B2B services, waste, logistics or compliance-led sectors · Google/Microsoft/GA4 certifications — welcome as supporting evidence, never a substitute for hands-on proof.
EDUCATIONFormal education is not a requirement — we hire on demonstrated capability. What we need to see is real accounts, real results and real understanding, and our process tests all three directly.
HOURS, PAY & SETUP● Full-time, permanent contract — this is a long-term job with our team, not project-based or freelance work.
● Probation period of up to 3 months, after which your permanent position is confirmed.
● This is NOT a part-time role and cannot be combined with other jobs or clients. During your working hours you are part of a live working environment — communicating with our team throughout the day, on calls, and responding in real time. If you are currently managing multiple jobs or freelance clients, this role is not for you.
● Working hours: our UK office runs 9:00–18:00 (UK time). Your working day starts 3–4 hours ahead of ours — for example around 10:30–11:00 AM local time if you're in India or Pakistan — and at least 4 hours of your day must align with UK office hours. You won't be working alone at any point: the first half of your day runs alongside our developers and websites team, who work similar hours to India and Pakistan — so you'll be communicating and coordinating with them from the start of your day — and the second half overlaps with our UK office for meetings, calls and clear real-time communication with the wider team.
● Pay: state your expected monthly rate in your application — we pay fairly for proven capability.
● Security: NDA, ID verification and two references are part of our onboarding for every role — we're a data-security business and we practise what we sell. Account access is granted on least-privilege terms with 2FA.

4. Start your application with the word MERIDIAN so we know you read this far.
