As a Digital Manufacturing Engineer, your role involves supporting digital manufacturing activities in a cluster of manufacturing plants. You will contribute to the advancement of tools for digital manufacturing such as OEE, Advance Process Control, Energy monitoring, Digital Tracking, Digital Rootcause problem solving, Maintenance Management, and Advanced Analytics.
Your responsibilities will also include identifying and analyzing new solutions and technologies for IoT and advanced analytics, setting up and maintaining data pipelines and data management systems hands-on, supporting the development of digital transformation roadmaps, and conducting functional and technical analyses of requirements. You will serve as a consultant and support a cluster of plants in their digital transformation, act as an interface to other IT departments, and guide stakeholders through vendor selection processes.
Furthermore, you will leverage synergies between initiatives in each plant and handle any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- Degree in Engineering or Information Technology or a similar education
- Profound knowledge of manufacturing operational technology and/or information technology
- Experience in advanced data management for operational data like machine, energy, and quality data
- Profound experience in big data management using cloud solutions
Preferred skills include:
- Azure, Databricks using SQL, timeseries and other formats
- Experience in real-time data streaming, preferably Azure Stream Analytics
- Experience in creating advanced analytics reports and applying data science techniques using PowerBI or Python
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in operations, IT, or consulting
- High ability to learn new methods and technologies
- Ability to manage and successfully complete a portfolio of multiple projects
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently on projects
- Demonstrates concern for successful achievement of results and customer satisfaction
- Works persistently with drive and enthusiasm to overcome obstacles to goal achievement
- Ability to effectively resolve problems of complex nature and deal with appropriate escalations and documentation of root cause analysis
- Understands and accurately interprets others' concerns, feelings, and cultural differences
