India Literacy Project (ILP) is a volunteer-driven organization with chapters in the US and India, working towards its vision of a 100% literate and educated India. ILP collaborates with grassroots communities to improve access to education, re-enroll out-of-school children, prevent dropouts, enhance learning, and create pathways to productive careers. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai, for a Digital Literacy Facilitator. The role involves conducting digital literacy sessions, supporting underprivileged students and communities in accessing and using digital tools, and creating informative resources. Responsibilities include organizing workshops, mentoring participants, evaluating program effectiveness, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve digital education efforts.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using digital tools, technology platforms, and online resources
- Ability to create and deliver effective learning materials for digital literacy
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in mentoring or facilitating training sessions
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to engage with diverse communities
- Knowledge of regional languages in addition to English is a plus
- A degree in Education, Technology, or related fields is preferred
- Commitment to the vision of promoting literacy and education
