About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven, hands-on Digital Head to own and scale our performance marketing across Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram). This is primarily an individual contributor role — we need someone who can roll up their sleeves, build and optimize campaigns themselves. As business grows, this role is expected to evolve into a team leadership position, so we value candidates who are open to and excited by that trajectory.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing significant paid media budgets, achieving strong ROAS, and independently driving revenue growth through data-led decision-making — with the ambition and maturity to eventually build and lead a performance marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Marketing (Core Focus)
- Own end-to-end campaign management on Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Display, YouTube) and Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram)
- Build, test, and optimize campaigns from scratch — audience targeting, creative, bidding strategies, landing page alignment
- Manage and scale ad budgets with a strong focus on ROAS, CAC, and revenue outcomes
- Conduct in-depth A/B testing on ad copy, creatives, and audience segments
- Monitor and act on performance data daily — proactively catch drops and capitalize on opportunities
- Analyze funnel metrics end-to-end: impressions → clicks → conversions → retention
Digital Strategy & Growth
- Develop integrated digital marketing strategies that align with business revenue targets
- Collaborate with content, design, and product teams to ensure campaign assets are optimized for conversion
- Identify new paid channels, tools, and growth levers to diversify acquisition
- Build reporting dashboards and present clear performance insights to leadership
Analytics & Reporting
- Leverage Google Analytics / GA4 and platform-native dashboards to drive data-informed decisions
- Build and maintain performance reports for leadership — clear, actionable, and tied to revenue
- Set up and maintain conversion tracking, pixel health, and attribution across all paid channels
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Technical Skills
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in digital/performance marketing
- Deep expertise in Google Ads — Search, Shopping (Merchant Center), Display, YouTube
- Deep expertise in Meta Ads Manager — campaign structure, pixel setup, custom audiences, retargeting
- Proficiency in Google Analytics / GA4, conversion tracking, and attribution
- Experience managing budgets of $10,000+/month with measurable ROAS outcomes
- Strong command of audience segmentation, lookalike audiences, and funnel-based targeting
- Working knowledge of Shopify, landing page tools, and e-commerce funnels
Nice to Have
- Prior experience managing or mentoring a small team (even 1–3 people)
- Comfortable stepping into a team lead or head role as the function scales
- Experience with email marketing and automation (Klaviyo or similar)
- Familiarity with Amazon Sponsored Ads (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands)
- Exposure to programmatic advertising or additional paid channels
- Prior experience in ed-tech, publishing, or B2C e-commerce
- Google Ads / Meta Blueprint certifications
Soft Skills & Leadership
- Self-starters can operate independently and take full ownership without being micromanaged
- Open to growing into a leadership role — comfortable hiring, briefing, and eventually managing a team
- Strong analytical mindset with a habit of leading decisions with data
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain performance metrics clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative team player with the ability to brief and work with creative, content, and tech teams
- Adaptable — comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling business environment

Proven experience managing $50K+/month in ad spend
ROAS Proof
Must have examples of measurable ROAS improvement
