About the role

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our team in the Business Services industry. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. You will be expected to provide accurate financial information to management, investors, and other stakeholders, and make recommendations for improvement. Your role will be critical in ensuring the financial success of the company. Ideal candidate is well versed in GovCon and CostPoint.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a financial management role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CMA certification
  • Experience in the Business Services industry
  • Experience with financial software systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • MBA or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial activities of the company, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
  • Provide accurate financial information to management, investors, and other stakeholders
  • Make recommendations for improvement in financial processes and procedures
  • Manage and develop a team of financial professionals
  • Manage month and year end closing activities
  • Record journal entries
  • DCAA and GSA Audit support
  • GSA fee submission
  • Manage fixed assets schedule and record depreciation

Skills:

As the Controller, you will utilize your strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations to oversee all financial activities of the company. You will use your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to provide accurate financial information to management, investors, and other stakeholders. Your effective communication and leadership abilities will be essential in managing and developing a team of financial professionals. Additionally, your experience with financial software systems and advanced Excel skills will be beneficial in streamlining financial processes and procedures.
