We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on Data Scientist to strengthen and grow our data collection, analysis, and visualization capabilities, which we use to track financial performance, optimize e-commerce operations, and report on key business metrics. You will be collaborating with a team of finance, accounting, and e-commerce professionals, supporting and leading various data-driven initiatives to enhance decision-making, identify growth opportunities, and streamline operations. Your goal will be to maximize business impact by improving data ingestion and extraction techniques, standardizing reporting processes, and ensuring the accuracy and security of financial and operational data. A strong candidate will bring a subset of the listed skills/qualifications and a willingness to develop others. Responsibilities Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and e-commerce teams to validate business metrics, ensure data accuracy, and support reliable financial reporting Design, maintain, and automate reports to analyze performance against budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and generate actionable insights to drive business decisions Optimize data infrastructure and workflows by introducing automation and leveraging new technologies Build and automate financial models to support planning, valuation, and forecasting, and present recommendations to stakeholders. Requirements BA / BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, with 3+ years of working experience in a data-focused role within finance, accounting, or eCommerce SQL expert with strong communication and data presentation skills Experience with financial planning and reporting Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc Proficient in programming languages like Python
