Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dialysis Technician role based at Silverline Speciality Hospital in Tiruchirappalli. The Dialysis Technician will prepare and operate hemodialysis equipment, set up treatment rooms, and ensure all machines and supplies are ready for patient sessions. The role includes monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis, recording vital signs, and promptly reporting any changes in patient status to nursing and medical staff. The technician will follow prescribed dialysis protocols, assist with basic patient care and comfort measures, and maintain strict infection control and safety standards. Daily responsibilities also include cleaning and disinfecting equipment, documenting treatments accurately, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Dialysis and Hemodialysis procedures, including safe operation and basic troubleshooting of dialysis equipment.
- Strong Patient Care capabilities, with a focus on empathy, communication, and supporting patients throughout treatment sessions.
- Foundational knowledge of Medicine as it relates to renal care, along with the ability to follow clinical instructions and treatment plans.
- Ability to accurately measure, monitor, and document Vital Signs, and to recognize and escalate significant changes in patient condition.
- Completion of an accredited Dialysis Technician or related healthcare training program; relevant certification or licensure as required by local regulations.
- Previous experience in a dialysis unit or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in nephrology or renal care.
- Commitment to infection control, patient safety, and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
