Role Description The Dialogue Writer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. This role involves writing compelling, character-driven dialogue for short films, digital content, and social media projects, ensuring tone and voice align with each production’s creative vision. The Dialogue Writer will collaborate closely with directors, scriptwriters, and producers to refine scripts, contribute to story development, and revise drafts based on feedback. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching contexts and character backgrounds, adapting dialogue for different formats and platforms, and maintaining consistency across episodes or series. The role also includes participating in table reads, incorporating performance insights into script revisions, and meeting production timelines in a fast-paced creative environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong script and dialogue writing skills, with experience in storytelling, character development, and narrative structure.
- Candidates should possess skills in editing, revising, and polishing written content to ensure clarity, authenticity, and consistent tone.
- Candidates should possess creative ideation skills, including the ability to generate original concepts, adapt stories for different genres, and write for diverse audiences.
- Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with directors, writers, producers, and performers.
- Candidates should possess strong research skills to understand settings, cultures, and themes and reflect them accurately in dialogue.
- Relevant experience in film, television, digital media, or theatre writing is beneficial.
- A degree or formal training in Film, Creative Writing, Literature, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Bengaluru Area and manage deadlines in a production-focused environment.
