Role Description The Diagnostics Specialist, Lab Diagnostics will provide technical support and expertise for Agappe’s reagents and diagnostic equipment in clinical laboratories, ensuring accurate and reliable testing outcomes. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai involves overseeing routine diagnostic procedures, assisting with instrument calibration and maintenance, and troubleshooting analytical issues in collaboration with laboratory teams. The specialist will train laboratory personnel on proper use of reagents and analyzers, support implementation of new diagnostic solutions, and ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory guidelines. The role also includes documenting processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and coordinating with internal teams such as R&D, quality assurance, and customer support to address field feedback and optimize product performance.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in clinical laboratory diagnostics, including experience with biochemistry, serology, hematology, coagulation, and related test methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with automated clinical chemistry analyzers and diagnostic equipment, including routine operation, calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, FDA, CE marking) relevant to in-vitro diagnostics.
- Ability to train and support laboratory staff, communicate technical information clearly, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related life science field.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to accuracy and patient safety in diagnostic services.
- Prior experience in the diagnostics industry or clinical laboratories in India; familiarity with international diagnostic markets is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and occasionally travel for training, installations, or customer support as needed.
