Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Administrative Assistant with experience in home healthcare to support daily office operations. This role is essential in coordinating patient services, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between patients, caregivers, and clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate scheduling for home healthcare staff and patient visits
• Manage incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries in a professional manner
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely data entry into electronic systems
• Assist with insurance verification, authorizations, and billing documentation
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents
• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, clinicians, and external partners
• Track and organize compliance-related documentation (licenses, certifications, etc.)
• Support onboarding and administrative needs for field staff
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1–3 years of administrative experience, preferably in home healthcare or a medical setting
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scheduling systems
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) or healthcare software preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with home healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
