We are currently implementing a diabetes education and support program on behalf of one of our pharma clients and are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diabetes Educator to join our team.
Job Overview:
The Diabetes Educator will be responsible for educating patients with diabetes on effective management strategies. This role involves working in doctors' clinics and hospitals to provide patient education, counselling, and support.
Responsibilities:
- Diabetes educator will be working with doctor provided by the reporting manager. They will be responsible for handling OPD counseling and as required by the doctors.
- Conduct patient education and counseling on diabetes management in doctors' OPD clinics and hospitals.
- Perform pen demonstrations for patients.
- Build rapport with patients by addressing their queries and concerns.
- Guide patients to the nearest approved pen stations.
- Follow up with patients to monitor therapy initiation and assist with any challenges.
- Enroll patients into the program by capturing details in the CRM system.
- Maintain a patient database to ensure timely follow-up and support.
- Organize camps and patient support initiatives in collaboration with doctors.
- Report on pharmacovigilance and adhere to compliance guidelines to ensure patient safety.
- Provide feedback to the Reporting Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or a qualified dietitian with 1 to 2 years of experience in pharma, allied services, diet counseling, or as a certified diabetes educator.
- Passionate about helping patients manage their diabetes effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a pleasant personality.
