About the Role
The DGM / GM – Operations will be responsible for leading and managing the overall technical and project execution framework of the organization. This role requires a strategic leader who can ensure seamless coordination across departments, maintain high-quality technical standards, and drive project delivery efficiency.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in decision-making, risk management, client handling, and process optimization, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead overall technical and project operations across all ongoing projects.
- Technical Oversight: Review and approve critical drawings, BOQs, and key technical decisions. Ensure adherence to technical standards, quality benchmarks, and audit compliance.
- Strategic Planning: Lead tender evaluation, technical feasibility analysis, and provide strategic inputs. Monitor project progress, risks, and cost implications at a high level.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Ensure seamless inter-department coordination between Projects, Purchase, Finance, and Technical teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Handle client escalations, approvals, and high-level technical discussions.
- Process & Team Optimization: Drive process standardization (SOP approach) and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee resource planning, team productivity, and performance management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Highest Priority). MBA, M.Tech, or a Civil Diploma are considered strong add-ons.
- Industry Experience: Strong experience in construction/project & Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) operations management.
- Leadership Track Record: Proven ability to handle multi-project oversight and senior leadership roles.
- Technical Expertise: Expertise in technical approvals, BOQ evaluation, design review, and software handling. Strong understanding of quality standards, compliance, and audits.
- Soft Skills: Excellent cross-functional coordination, stakeholder management, and escalation handling skills.
- Strategic Mindset: A strong focus on efficiency, risk mitigation, cost control, and a systemic (SOP-driven) approach to operations.
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
Success in this role will be strictly measured through the following metrics:
- Drawing Release Timeliness (%) ensuring timely delivery of drawings and technical documents.
- Coordination Efficiency Rate across all internal departments.
- Approval Turnaround Time and accuracy in technical submissions.
- RFI Closure Rate (%) resulting in a measurable reduction of site-level technical issues.
