CLIENT : Leading Coal Trading & Logistics Solution Provider
Key Result Areas
- Spearhead and navigate Business development, commercialization and growth opportunities in in the coal trading business by identifying market opportunities, acquiring and managing key industrial customers, and executing commercially viable sourcing and sales strategies.
- Develop and drive domestic coal sales across key industrial sectors including power, cement, steel, sponge iron, brick kilns, and other energy-intensive industries. Identify and develop new markets for domestic coal, expanding customer base and market share.
- Own end-to-end deal lifecycle: lead generation → negotiation → closure → execution → collections.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, credit terms, and supply structures to ensure sustainable trading margins.
- Handle pre- and post-tendering processes.
- Coordinate with procurement, shipping, rail/road logistics, and operations teams for seamless execution of contracts.
- Ensure timely placement of rakes / trucks and delivery as per contractual commitments
Incumbent profile:
- Proficiency in Coal Logistics BU , Sound knowledge of coal grades and quality parameters (GCV, ash, moisture, sizing)
- Understanding of coal logistics process (rail rake movement, road transport, port handling)
- Proven customer relationship management and key account handling in key account sectors.
- Strong understanding of coal washeries, railway sidings, and railway liaising.
