About Dexcom's Summer Intern Program: Looking to spend your summer working with innovative technology and changing the lives of patients with diabetes? Dexcom's U.S. 12-week internship program provides an experience driven program aimed at developing the next generation of talent. Internship Department Details: Department Name: Global Access Business Function: Health Economics and Outcomes Research Team Highlights: Our team provides global support for Dexcom's products, focusing on Global Access and Value Evidence. We shape the message of the value that Dexcom CGMs provide, generating evidence to ensure patients have access to innovative technologies. We are an intersectional team, combining medical knowledge, research methodology, and health economics with methodical policy. Our work ensures that patients see the big picture of how CGMs can contribute to diabetes management, overcoming hesitations and improving treatment outcomes. Where you come in: You will support the HEOR team in the design and execution of Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies, contributing to study design, data collection, and the development of statistical analysis plans (SAPs). You will assist in the conceptualization and execution of economic models, such as cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, aimed at demonstrating the value of health technologies to payers and stakeholders. You will contribute to systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and evidence synthesis by gathering, evaluating, and interpreting relevant data from scientific literature to inform HEOR strategies and policy decision-making. You will support the Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) projects What makes you successful: You have a solid understanding of study design and research methodologies for Real-World Evidence, including observational studies, data collection, and statistical analysis, which enables you to contribute to impactful research. Your ability to conceptualize and build economic models, coupled with a solid analytical skillset, allows you to derive insights that drive business and market access strategies. You bring strong competencies in evidence synthesis, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis, with a clear understanding of the methodologies used to Your proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, SAS, R, or Stata, combined with your attention to detail, ensures the delivery of high-quality research outputs.
