Cuepilot is a school operations platform used by thousands of schools across India — powering everything from daily attendance to parent communications to fee management. We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own our cloud infrastructure, ensure platform reliability, and scale our systems as we grow.
What you'll do
- Own and manage our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe deployments
- Monitor system health, set up alerting, and lead incident response
- Optimize infrastructure costs and application performance
- Manage database operations, scaling, and disaster recovery
- Collaborate with backend engineers to improve reliability and deployment velocity
What we're looking for
- 4+ years in DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering
- Must have worked on applications that have scaled to 100k+ users
- Strong experience with GCP (App Engine, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, IAM, VPC)
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas — connection management, monitoring, scaling
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Cloud Run/GKE)
- Experience with Python application servers (gunicorn, uWSGI) and worker process management
- Strong debugging skills — you can trace an issue from user impact to the specific log line
- Experience setting up observability: monitoring, logging, alerting (Cloud Monitoring, Sentry, Grafana, etc.)
Nice to have
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms
- Familiarity with async processing patterns (Pub/Sub, task queues)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Cost optimization on cloud platforms
