DevOps Engineer with Mainframe

Job Description
Seeking an experienced in Mainframe technologies and modern DevOps practices. The role involves managing CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, infrastructure automation, and modernization of legacy mainframe systems while ensuring system stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & CI/CD
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and UrbanCode Deploy for automated build and deployment.
- Manage source code using Git/GitHub/GitLab.
- Automate infrastructure and application deployments using Ansible and Terraform.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support deployments across development, test, and production environments.
Mainframe
- Develop and support mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
- Perform code deployments and environment management using tools like Endevor and Control-M.
- Troubleshoot mainframe application, database, and job execution issues.
- Support migration of legacy mainframe applications to modern platforms.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Deploy and manage applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Azure, AWS, and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Manage Linux servers (Red Hat/CentOS) and perform system administration tasks.
- Configure and maintain network services such as DNS, NFS, FTP, and Apache.
Monitoring & Support
- Monitor systems using Grafana, Splunk, or Nagios.
- Manage incidents, changes, and requests using ServiceNow.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
Leadership
- Lead and mentor DevOps teams.
- Coordinate production releases and deployments with development teams.
- Improve processes through automation and DevOps best practices.
