DevOps Engineer – Infrastructure & Platform
Company: iCubes
Location: Udaipur (Full-Time | In-Office)
Experience: 3+ Years (Preferred)
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure. You will work across provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, application infrastructure, and live production systems. This is a high-ownership role where you will debug production issues, improve reliability, and independently drive infrastructure changes.
What We’re Looking For:
Someone comfortable owning infrastructure end-to-end — not just executing tasks, but understanding why systems work and fixing them when they don’t. Production debugging and incident response are a regular part of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
- Provision, automate, and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP is a plus)
- Deploy and operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes (managed clusters preferred)
- Manage and optimize web servers (NGINX/Apache), caching layers, and reverse proxies
- Monitor infrastructure and applications, troubleshoot issues, and improve system performance
- Respond to production incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
- Implement and maintain security best practices (WAF, access control, network segmentation)
- Build and maintain machine images and instance bootstrapping processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployments and environment management
- Stay up to date with the latest DevOps tools and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on DevOps experience
- Strong experience with AWS (compute, networking, storage, managed services); Azure/GCP is a plus
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or similar), including module and environment management
- Strong Linux system administration and debugging skills (services, logs, configurations)
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (VPC, DNS, Load Balancers, VPN)
- Experience with web servers, caching, and reverse proxy configurations
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
Good to Have:
- Experience with AMI/image baking pipelines (e.g., Packer)
- Familiarity with WordPress infrastructure at scale
- Experience with observability tools (metrics, logs, alerting)
If you’re ready to take the next step in your DevOps career, we’d love to hear from you.
