Job Description: DevOps Engineer (GCP)

Role Overview
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong GCP expertise to build, automate, and scale cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Kubernetes (GKE), Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security practices, with a strong focus on reliability, automation, and system scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, Cloud Logging)
- Build and maintain scalable Kubernetes-based deployments
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins / Azure DevOps
- Automate operational workflows using Python / Shell scripting
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Grafana, Cloud Logging)
- Ensure high availability, performance, and system reliability
- Manage application lifecycle (deployments, patching, upgrades)
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enable faster and secure releases
- Implement DevSecOps practices including IAM, secrets management, and security scanning
Must Have Skills (Strict Requirements)
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP (MANDATORY) - especially:
- GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)
- IAM & Service Accounts
- Cloud Run / Cloud Logging
- Experience with Kubernetes & Docker (containerization + orchestration)
- Expertise in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Solid experience in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / Azure DevOps / Git-based workflows)
- Solid scripting experience in Python / Shell
- Understanding of monitoring & observability tools (Grafana, logging systems)
Good to Have
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS / OCI)
- Experience in microservices architecture & backend systems
- Familiarity with Java / Spring Boot-based applications
- Knowledge of security best practices (IAM, secrets management, policy-as-code)
- Experience with serverless or migration projects (monolith → microservices)
