DevOps Engineer
File Stack | Full Time | India-Based (Remote) | AI-Forward
Product
File Stack — SaaS file management platform embedded by developers into their own workflows
Engagement
Full time, India-based, direct TechGrit placement
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
File Stack runs on AWS and delivers file handling capabilities to developers through a service-oriented architecture. Weekly deployments across services are routine. The product runs across production, staging, and test environments, with a fourth environment planned. The DevOps function is currently under-resourced relative to the infrastructure complexity. The primary mandate is to upgrade and stabilize the infrastructure without breaking a live SaaS product.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own AWS infrastructure: plan, execute, and validate upgrades across interdependent services.
• Design, maintain, and improve webhook infrastructure for reliability and performance.
• Execute the dependency upgrade pathway — coordinated Python version upgrades and related service chain changes with zero unplanned downtime.
• Drive security vulnerability remediation tied to infrastructure upgrade milestones.
• Manage environment parity across staging, production, and test environments; lead provisioning of a fourth environment within budget.
• Track infrastructure spend and proactively flag cost overruns — you operate with budget visibility, not just technical authority.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Strong AWS depth: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, networking, IAM, and cost management.
• Experience designing and maintaining webhook systems.
• Proven ability to execute upgrade pathways on live SaaS products without unplanned service disruption.
• CI/CD pipelines, IaC tooling (Terraform or equivalent), and multi-environment deployment patterns.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in infrastructure planning and documentation workflows.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years in a DevOps or infrastructure engineering role on a live SaaS product.
• Hands-on experience managing multi-environment AWS deployments.
• Ability to communicate infrastructure decisions clearly to engineering and product stakeholders.
NICE TO HAVE
• Elasticsearch cluster management experience.
• Python scripting fluency for automation and operational tooling.
• Background in developer-facing SaaS products where clients embed the product directly into their own systems.
