Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a DevOps Engineer based in Mumbai. The DevOps Engineer will manage and optimize system infrastructure, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, and ensure continuous integration for smooth collaboration between development and operations. Daily responsibilities include deploying and monitoring systems, creating automated pipelines, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with development teams to align deployment processes with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and optimize AWS infrastructure including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, and IAM
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Build and maintain scalable deployment pipelines and automation workflows
- Manage servers and production environments
- Work closely with development teams to ensure reliable and efficient deployments
- Handle database management and optimization for MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Manage and maintain Redis and RabbitMQ services
- Integrate and maintain REST APIs and third-party services
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and deployment-related issues
- Improve system scalability, security, monitoring, and performance
- Support high-availability and high-traffic production systems
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, IAM, networking, and cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Strong backend development knowledge (Node.js preferred)
- Solid understanding of Linux server administration and system management
- Experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with Redis and RabbitMQ
- Good understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Knowledge of system design, scalability, and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with Docker (basic to intermediate)
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment automation
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Good To Have
- Experience in Fintech or lending platforms
- Experience handling high-traffic production systems
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Basic frontend understanding
